Security and rescue forces
In Israel, they include the IDF, the Israel Police, and civilian bodies such as Magen David Adom (MDA), fire and rescue services (Maccabi Esh), the Home Front Command, ZAKA, and the United Hatzalah, which work together to protect the state, maintain public order, save lives, and handle various emergency events, under the responsibility of government ministries such as the Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Defense.

• There are also many volunteers who assist the professional forces, such as fire and rescue volunteers.
