The Beit Dagan Weapons Exhibition was held in 1957 shortly after the Sinai War and was one of the symbols of Israel’s victory in the Sinai War.
. The exhibition was set up in the “Exhibition Grounds” complex at the Beit Dagan Junction, which served in those years as a center for national fairs and exhibitions before moving to the Tel Aviv Exhibition Center.
The exhibition presented the weapons used by the IDF in the war alongside a large amount of loot taken from the Egyptian army. Among the exhibits were tanks, cannons, and combat equipment that fell into the hands of Israel during the campaign.
Beit Dagan Junction was chosen due to its centrality and the possibility of allocating large areas for the display of heavy weapons. In parallel with the weapons exhibition, agricultural and subsidiary farm exhibitions were also presented in the complex.
The exhibition was considered a defining national event that demonstrated the strength of the IDF to the Israeli public in the early years of the state•

Richard McClintock, a Latin scholar from Hampden-Sydney College, is credited with discovering the source behind the ubiquitous filler text. In seeing a sample of lorem ipsum, his interest was piqued by consectetur—a genuine, albeit rare, Latin word. Consulting a Latin dictionary led McClintock to a passage from De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum On the Extremes of Good and Evil, a first-century B.C. text from the Roman.
So when is it okay to use lorem ipsum? First, lorem ipsum works well for staging. It’s like the props in a furniture store—filler text makes it look like someone is home. The same Wordpress template might eventually be home to a fitness blog, a photography website, or the online journal of a cupcake fanatic. Lorem ipsum helps them imagine what the lived-in website might look like.
