The Northern Fence is a fortified barbed wire fence that was erected by the British Mandate in northern Palestine, as part of the struggle against the Arab revolt. The fence was erected in 1938 by Jewish workers,employees of the “Solel Bone” company.
A series of Taggart forts and pillbioxes were erected alongside the fence. The route of the fence ran along the Northern Road and further from the Koach Fort to the Sea of Galilee to Yarmouk, in such a way that the settlements of the Galilee Finger remained outside the fence
